A good night with a appreciation of indie music happening on a Saturday night smokehouse full of a indie Christmas cheer. First of was Jack Rundell , i always have a lot of respect for him for quite sometime, as a solo musician clearly there was a lot of power pop influences such as big star, Elvis Costello and the beach boys. His sets are always to good to see. Second was Southend on sea's Hillmisters , a six piece indie rock band inspired by Yo La Tengo, the flaming lips and galaxie 500 these guys truly been influenced by the American side of indie music since seeing them since 2010 and they still going strong. Why go to London when you can see and great set by the Hillmisters Next up was Radio Orwell , alongside with bands like model village and Hillmisters, Radio Orwell are one of those bands that should play for next year's indietracks and tour round the UK would be great the band. GOLDBLUME, PALE GIRLS, WAR WAVES AND DYTHSU? at The Blue Moon, Cambridge, Friday 17th Novervember 2017

On a Friday night in Cambridge, before the indie pop alldayer was a cool gig happening. It was also Jethro's (goldblume) birthday First was DYTHSU? From Cambridge, who are all girl band which I'm always into when it comes to All girls bands, the band had a bit indie/twee pop ( Tillycraft, tiger trap ), a bit of Riot Grrrl (Slater Kinney, Slant 6, Bikini Kill) and the Loud/Quiet dynamics of The Breeders and Pixies. They are a really unique band to check out if you're into Indie pop or Riot Grrrl. Up next was a hometown (Ipswich) double, first up was War Waves , one of the bands that i've been into for almost three years performed something different than there usual set, it was really good to see something different from a band, i felt there set was lo-fi bedroom pop like sebadoh, pavement and guided by voice but had that post emo indie influence of cursive, what a Good set by war waves. CAMBRIDGE INDIE POP ALLDAYER 2017 @ THE BLUE MOON, CAMBRIDGE SATURDAY 18TH NOVEMBER

This year's Cambridge Indie Pop All Dayer was the 2nd year that Sweet Revenge organizer beck, Chris and Emma have ever done, even i wasn't at there first one last year, however i heard there was a great turn out and this year was another wonderful Turn out. This year we started of with best-kept secrets in British songwriting was Emma Kupa (Standard Fare/Mammoth Penguin) Who recently did a release with former Hefner front man Darren Hayman earlier this year. Emma's set was a promise to the indie community in Cambridge, during her set Laura (baby arms), Faith (suggested friends/chorusgirl) and mark (mammoth Penguin) joined in, which I thought it was good to check out. Up next was Rainbow Reservoir from oxford who have a the answer of Helen love with little bit more fuzzy power pop goodness, a pure DIY punk vibes going on, guitarist and front female vocalist Angela space who's originally from the US also nice person to talk to.
